Musica -9- in "L’arte della verberazione" 24/5/2021
I Rolling Stones fanno parte della British Invasion tra il 64 ed il 66, ma qui elencherò i brani che più mi hanno impressionato e che a mio parere hanno più influito sugli altri gruppi, dando una forte caratterizzazione del rock anni 60, per poi scegliere qualche perla unica concepita negli anni successivi..
I Rolling Stones sono stati ammessi nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nel 1989 e nella UK Music Hall of Fame nel 2004. La rivista Rolling Stone li colloca al quarto posto nella classifica dei più grandi artisti di tutti i tempi. Nella loro carriera hanno venduto più di 250 milioni di copie. Hanno pubblicato trentacinque album in studio, diciotto album dal vivo e numerose raccolte, ma questa classifica è in continua evoluzione perché dopo aver superato i 70 anni di età, hanno appena pubblicato “Living in a ghost town”….
Elencherò i brani esclusivamente nell’ordine della mie preferenze, trascurando completamente la loro notorietà o il peso che hanno avuto su altri gruppi, perché non ricordo di avere mai ascoltato un brano che fosse brutto, ed il segreto sta tutto, a differenza dei Beatles, nella loro esperienza in band di skiffle e di blues (non è un caso che il loro nome si ispira alla canzone Rollin' Stone di Muddy Waters), che li fa notare da subito come strumentisti eccellenti, oltre che come fantasiosi e trasgressivi compositori di musica e testi. Alcune non sono loro composizioni, ma sono esecuzioni ineguagliabili…
